About Us

The dance school is open to boys and girls of all ages, and to adult tappers.  The classes take place in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where the children are taught to a high technical standard while having fun at the same time. All of our teachers have PVG clearance and are fully insured.

The dance school has been building steadily in both numbers and reputation over the last few years and has received a Certificate of Recognition from the Dance Theatre Council for demonstrating a high technical standard in the examinations.

The term times run in tandem with the school term dates. Starting in August, the main focus of the classes is towards the exams, usually held in December/January. After that, it’s learning the various dances and getting into the costumes for the Annual Display in June!

We have been taking part in the annual Tapathon for Children in Need for seven years now, and have raised in excess of £7000 in total for the charity.  Over the past few years, our dancers have been involved in numerous community events.  They have provided entertainment for the elderly from Carron Court in Bathgate, at the Livi Live event for Marie Curie,  OAP Christmas dinner in Bellsquarry, fun night at Pinewood school, Kirknewton gala day and the Team Jak Burns' Supper.  Tanera successfully auditioned and performed at the Glasgow and Liverpool tattoos, Tanera, Katie and Ciara performed as Spirit of the Celts dancers in the show at Howden Park Centre and at the Edinburgh Festival, and Arianne successfully auditioned to be a regular dancer at the Taste of Scotland shows in Prestonfield Hotel in Edinburgh.  We also have several successful competitive Highland dancers in our school.
